Crystal Winter Morning, acrylic on board, 14″x24″, 2022

In this new painting, I strove to convey the pristine, breathtaking look of Winter in Colorado. Its been snowing here in Pagosa Springs where I live and I felt particularly inspired. Sometimes I look out the window at the snowy wonderland and admire the beauty while at the same time, I am fascinated by how cold the season can get and I’m comforted by all the warm, cozy blankets around me =) Sometimes it feel like you can almost see the crystals forming in the air around you. I kept that thought in my mind while I painted and wanted to capture the fidget yet beautiful feeling of Winter.
