Come see my latest sculpture installation in Colorado Springs located on the corner of 329 N Tejone Street. It will be on view till May 2025 and is part of the Art on the Streets Public Art Program by Downtown Ventures.
For my art, I take inspiration from what I find most beautiful in my surroundings. I aim to add beauty and interest to new places where the passerby can feel uplifted, inspired and discover something new. With my newest sculpture ‘Lepidoptera’ I hope to share the wonder of these magnificent insects. The bright colors and fun shapes reflect natures beautiful design. My butterfly is designed to be eye catching, grabbing the viewers and pulling them in for a moment, adding something unique to their day and reminding them of the magic that is all around them. Additionally, butterflies are important pollinators and their life and work is crucial to keeping our natural environments in their current state. If in anyway people can be inspired by my vibrant homage to these small but mighty insects and take even the smallest steps to ensure the well being of these creatures, then that would be an added bonus for my artwork which first aims to be uplifting to the human spirit.
