2024 Durango Farmers Market

Following the success of my first ever 2 weekend festival last year “The Durango Autumn Art Festival” I decided to participate in the Durango Farmers Market a few times this season. May 18th was my first market. It was a fun, family experience where I got to share my art with the local community. My sons really enjoyed the community atmosphere and browsing the delicious and beautiful booths while meeting farmers and artisans. They even got to pretend to be tree climbers right behind my booth – what fun!

American Gothic Bunny Style

My take on the ‘American Gothic’ bunny style of course while emulating a 9 year old Kasia as an artist. This is my light hearted take on Grant Wood’s ‘American Gothic’ painting from 1930. Because the sculpture is installed in rural Mosca, Colorado where jack rabbits abound, I thought a rabbit theme for this interpretation would be fun and appropriate.
