Both the paintings in this post were inspired by wintry, star-filled nights that are present in the more remote Northern Rocky Mountains.
Pre-Order is Live! This is a limited sticker run: A set of 4 (3.5″) thick vinyl, die cut stickers of 4 of Kasia’s popular mountain scene paintings: “Celestial Mountain Night”, “Blue Mountain Sunset”, “Sunset at Sparks Lake” and “Autumn Emerges”.
This is an original acrylic painting inspired by autumn in the mountains when the sun sets and the mountains turn a warm, lavender color for a brief moment.
If the atmosphere in the mountains is just right, the effect can be mystical. The scenery can feel almost other worldly. I find that this is true for me when I see the sinking fog in the mountains. The high peeks are peeking from a light blanket of moisture. The feeling is so mysterious and a bit eerie. It always makes me think of fairy tales.
This is that Wow type of sunset =) You know what I mean if you’ve seen one for yourself. We always hope to see that bright, vibrant pink sky at sunset but a lot of times they sky offers a more subtle type of beauty. Sometimes though when all the the components are present, there is an explosion of color above. That was my driving force behind this brand new painting.
This painting is inspired by the many years that I’ve spent in the mountains all across the United States. It is a tribute to countless sunsets that can’t really be captured in photos. I’ve compiled memories of my favorite moments where the mountains become layers of blue while the setting sun creates a bright, colorful expression in the above sky.
